Expo Successful At New Venue

Wow! Soul Jam Holistic and Spiritual Expo, held for the first time in Darfield (August 3rd-4th) was an amazing event again this year! The continuing interest in this event, held in the Darfield Recreation Centre (previously held in West Melton) highlights the need felt within the community for complementary and natural therapies, along with the desire for improved health and well-being.

The new location of the expo offered plenty of space for both  practitioners and the public to move around freely. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and exciting, with many visitors commenting on it. For some it was their first time at such an event and they were fascinated by some of the modalities offered. Others, who had attended similar events before, commented on the ‘feel’ of the Expo and the high standard of practitioners. It was wonderful to see everyone with a smile on their faces when they left.

The majority of our practitioners are local (from Sheffield, Darfield and Kirwee) with others from Dunsandel, Prebbleton, Tai Tapu, and everywhere in between! They were joined by a few invited guests. There are now a large number of practitioners within the District and not enough room for them all!

It is wonderful to see the public’s growing interest, willingness to receive treatments, and their keenness to try something different to help heal their ailments. For many it was their first experience with some of the modalities and all were pleased with the results of their sessions. Free talks and demonstrations ran throughout each day and were well attended, giving an extra opportunity to learn something new. It was great to have an animal communicator this year, offering sage advice in regard to the animals we share our lives with.

As always Rainbowlily was a huge hit with her face painting. Many children and adults had  their faces adorned – which was not hard to understand when you saw the quality of her amazing work.

Soul Jam was a fabulous event and the practitioners and public cannot be thanked enough for bringing it all together in such a way (it is, after all, a partnership between both). It was wonderful to see everyone become so uplifted and inspired.
