Triple Jump Jam Success26.08.2015
The Jump Jam aerobic programme is a ‘Kidz Aerobix’ resource kit for schools, created by two times World Aerobic Champion Brett Fairweather, specifically for primary and intermediate students and teachers. It’s designed to challenge fundamental movement skills, increase fitness, develop student leadership and motivate students to move and enjoy exercise. The resource is simple to use and fun for both teachers and pupils.
This year Clearview Primary school entered three teams in the 2015 Jump Jam competition. The school was delighted to have all three teams qualify for the Jump Jam National Final, gaining a spot in the Open Category for the 2015 competition to be held on November 7th, in Christchurch.
The Clearview Country Kids, coached by Anita van Looy and Ricky Hofmeester, will perform in the Year 1-4 category. The Clearview C-Birds, coached by Caitlin Buttle, will perform in the Year 5-6 category and the Clearview Steampunk Band, coached by Charlotte Shaw and Marama Prusas, will perform in the Year 7-8 category.
There is no time to waste resting on their recent success however, as the teams are straight into
preparation – fundraising and creating costumes, while continuing to fine tune their Jump Jam routines.
